Since 2019 the Heroes Night Out initiative has yielded over $125,000 in scholarships awarded to college-bound cancers survivors. Join us on Thursday, September 25 for our 7th annual signature event, Heroes Night Out celebration. Your Heroes Night Out experience includes an evening of delicious eats with your event passport with incredible catering by Cherry Bomb Catering, Sushi Pier, Fig Tree Catering and Daddy's Tacos to name a few. Network among community leaders with a blend of vibrant music, opportunities to make scholarship dreams come true, an array of silent auction prizes, and inspiration from our amazing honorary speaker, Gabby Gouldsmith. AS AN ADDED BONUS your Heroes Night Out wristband grants you access to the Dragon Lights Opening Reception before it opens to the general public the following day. From 6:15pm to 6:45pm you won't want to miss a very special presentation of our scholarship recipients, supporters, as well as a heartfelt speech from our soon to be announced honorary scholarship recipient as they share their journey from cancer to college. Proceeds from the 7th annual Heroes Night Out event will fund scholarships for college bound cancer survivors for the Spring 2026 and Fall 2026 semesters. At My Hometown Heroes our mission is to help bridge the gap between cancer and college, one scholarship at a time.
