Since 2011 My Hometown Heroes has awarded over $400,000 in scholarships to college-bound cancers survivors. Join us on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 for our 8th annual Heroes Night Out celebration. Your Heroes Night Out experience includes an evening of delicious eats with your event passport with incredible catering by Cherry Bomb Catering, Sushi Pier, Fig Tree Catering, Daddy's Tacos, Skyline Kitchen and Vine, and The Recipe Box for dessert. Network among community leaders with a blend of vibrant music, opportunities to make scholarship dreams come true, an array of silent auction prizes, and inspiring speakers. AS AN ADDED BONUS your Heroes Night Out wristband grants you access to the Dragon Lights Reno lantern festival! 5:30pm - Doors Open, Event Check-In 5:30pm to 6:30pm - Enjoy delicious eats and beverages from our Heroes Night Out caterers and beverage partners, bid on silent auction items from 5:30pm to 7:15pm, mingle and connect 6:30pm - Opening Remarks with Mike Wood, Danny Heinsohn, & Heather Velasquez 6:45pm - Heroes Night Out Honorary Speaker, Talia Crow 7pm - Pledge Drive, Announcements, and Closing Remarks 7:30pm - Enjoy the rest of your evening with a Dragon Lights Sneak Preview Proceeds from the 8th annual Heroes Night Out event will fund scholarships for college-bound cancer survivors for the Spring 2027 and Fall 2027 semesters.
